Triantafyllos Apokouritis

Triantafyllos Apokouritis, born in 1780 in Paleoxari, Doris, was Skaltsas’ officer. During the siege of Nafpaktos, he was wounded in the leg and was left physically disabled.  

In 1824, he was promoted to the rank of chiliarch (chief of the thousands). He was one of the bravest fighters in the battle of the Myloi, Argos where he excelled under the name Triantafyllos Lidorikiotis. For his achievements, in 1825, he was promoted to the rank of General.
